Biography
  • Kang Kug Lee received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering from Hanyang University in Korea. He also completed another Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State University in June, 2005. He joined the Microsystems and BioMEMS Lab at the University of Cincinnati in 2006 and is currently pursuing his PhD under the research guidance of Prof. Chong H. Ahn.

      • Led a research project in preparation, surface modification and characterization of Poly(D,L-lactic acid) (PLA)  nanopartcles for advanced ultrasonic contrast-enhancing agents.
    • Nano/Microtribology Laboratory for Information Storage and MEMS/NEMS (NLIM), Department of Mechanical Engineering, The Ohio State Univeristy, Columbus, OH, 2004 – 2005
      • Led a research project in Tribology for BioMEMS/NEMS and micro/nanotechnology applications, developed a vacuum chamber for vapor phase deposition inside the silicon nanochannels and characterized the surface properties using atomic force microscopy.
